#81

So...several months ago I bought myself a bike, helmet, lock, squishy seat, and a system to transport my bike around town. I got the seat changed out and checked the tire pressure within a week of getting it. But...it's been languishing in my garage since. I kept wanting to go out and bike ride, but I'd talk myself out of. For some reason today I didn't! The Netflix were ready to be sent back and pop was taking forever getting the trash cans on the Gator. So, I decided why not. I put on my sweatshirt and helmet, stuffed the movies in my pocket and off I rolled! It's about 3/4th of a mile to and from the mailbox where I live. Which...isn't too far, but by the time I got back inside I had jelly legs and definitely out of breath. Boo! Time to work on cardio at the gym! I've been wanting to take the Zumba class offered but the time they have it is horrid. I suppose I'll check their schedule and see if there are any other cardio classes that intrigue me.

That...and perhaps ride my bike more. I really enjoyed it even as I was puffing and sweating the minor amount of distance. I didn't wobble or have any balance issues like I was sure I'd have. It was certainly disheartening how out of breath I was when I got back though. I thought I'd do better since I'm going to the gym. I know, I know, it takes time to rebuild it up and such. Can't I just have a magic button that says you won't feel like a dunce and an out of shape puddle of soreness.

Also...I just discovered that bike riding makes me hungry! Or...it could be the fact I had popcorn for lunch....
